Yet another resignation today and morale seems to be at an all time low. When your CEO was interviewed in today's paper, the general employee reaction was either indifference or cynicism. What is going on here?

Many firms have a finely tuned sense of marketing and promotion. Sometimes, there's a temptation to kick the "spin" into high gear... but if the organization isn't producing on its propaganda, then employees become disenfranchised and "check out" either physically or mentally. Think of it as the credibility factor. And a lack of credibility with employees can translate into a lack of productivity.
