The Challenge
The competitive labor market and difficulties filling key positions present significant challenges for organizations that want to insure the required capabilities that drive business performance are in place. Businesses are looking for better, more effective methods for filling their staffing needs. Yet we have often seen that organizations use expedient or ineffective efforts and methods to find and hire key individuals or even procrastinate filling important positions. Hires may occur based on somebody who knew someone, a resume that crossed a desk in the recent past, the compromise resume from a group that responded to an advertisement or an opportunistic walk-in.
