The Challenge
You keep hearing these comments. We are unable to properly identify, recognize and compensate the high performers. There are employee morale problems related to compensation. Compensation programs are viewed by employees as an entitlement. We continue to have difficulty attracting and retaining key employees. Compensation issues such as overtime, beeper or call-in, travel time are not being addressed. There is the possibility of regulatory fines due to improper classification and compensation of certain employees.
